On this special Faith-in-Culture Thursday, we are pleased to welcome Hollywood film director and writer Tom Shadyac, the man behind such iconic comedies as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Liar, Liar, and Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey, The Nutty Professor starring Eddie Murphy, and Patch Adams starring Robin Williams. A recent brush with death compelled Tom Shadyac to make his most recent film I AM, a documentary that asks some of today’s most profound questions: “What’s wrong with the world?” and “What can we do about it?” I AM won the 2012 Humanitas Prize, an award honoring works in film & TV that which affirm the dignity of the human person founded by one of my brother Paulist priests. Here with us to discuss his new book Life’s Operating Manual: With the Fear and Truth Dialogues is Tom Shadyac! The Busted Halo Show with Father Dave Dwyer is on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Channel 129, Monday through Thursday, 7:00pm to 10:00pm and Fridays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Eastern.
